Electric Paper - 20 year company anniversary
This year, Electric Paper looks back on 20 successful years - Not many IT companies have such a long and stable history.
The perfect moment to hark back to the beginnings of Electric Paper: The Company was founded in 1996 in Lüneburg, Germany by the present CEO Lars Riemenschneider along with two former colleagues from the software company Star Division (Open Office) as Electric Paper Gesellschaft für Softwarelösungen mbH. Their aim was to open up the potential benefits of digital document processing for users from various industries. From this point, only briefly slown down by the collapse of the New Economy in 2000, the company has grown steadily.
Electric Paper started as a distributor offering the US capturing software TeleForm from Cardiff, with numerous form capture projects especially in the sectors higher education, public administration and health. Based on this experience the first in-house development arose: The TeleForm extension eForm Suite (first PDF Plus² Forms or HTML Plus² Forms) was able to create PDF and HTML forms to process these on an equal footing with paper based document.
In 2002 another milestone of the company's history was reached: EvaSys, an independently developed evaluation solution for automated implementation of teaching evaluations in higher education, was brought to market. The scope of EvaSys widened successfully in the following years from the health sector (EvaSys Healthcare) to evaluation in business enterprises (EvaSys Corporate).
Two other software solutions complement the product portfolio of Electric Paper: With the Business Process Management Solution Liquid Office, hybrid business processes with interactive forms (form server), can be supported.
And with the software M-Files® from the Finnish-American manufacturer M-Files Corp. Electric Paper now offers an innovative DMS solution that revolutionizes with a particularly simple, metadata-based approach management of documents, business information and processes in companies of all sizes and industries. M-Files are supplemented by the in-house developments of M-Power TOOLS and M-Power FORMS.
Of course we offer in addition to all products, supplementary services such as project support, training/coaching or even a complete project implementation
Group of companies
With the growing product portfolio we also expanded regionally: In 2001 Electric Paper (Schweiz) GmbH in Lachen was founded in order to service the Swiss market. At the same time Electric Paper built the international sales/partner network for EvaSys and eForm Suite and in late 2008 another milestone was set with the establishment of Electric Paper Ltd. in London.
Over the years, the two divisions of Electric Paper Gesellschaft für Softwarelösungen mbH complemented each other : One offered custom IT solutions for cross-media automated data collection primarily in German-speaking countries. The other a powerful standard survey automation software for universities, hospitals and other businesses with EvaSys to be marketed worldwide. For this reason in October 2012 two independent limited companies were established with the directors Lars Riemenschneider and Sven Meyer but still under the family brand "Electric Paper" in order to support further growth through increased customer orientation.
The Electric Paper Informationssysteme GmbH deals with the subjects content capture, eForms, document management / ECM and workflow. Therefore the products TeleForm, eForm Suite, M-Files and LiquidOffice and collaboration software come to use.
Within the corporate family, we work together closely in order to use the existing know-how. We maintain a network of competent and long-term partnerships that complement our solutions and services perfectly over the company borders.
The Electric Paper team is pleased to look back on this success story together with all current and former employees, colleagues and partners. We take this opportunity to thank all customers for their trust over the past two decades: Without our customers we would not be where we are today.
