The feedback phase is characterized by the return of the completed questionnaires and the immediate acknowledgement of this to the instructors:
Scanstations
At the scanstations student assistants (for example) can open the incoming envelopes and scan the questionnaires. Thanks to the automatic classification of the questionnaires to their particular surveys, the paper must simply be inserted correctly and the logging process is mastered.
Anonymization (if required)
Should the number of questionnaires returned for a paper based survey turn out to be low, anonymization can be used. In this case a user takes the role of an ‘anonymizer’, inputs the commentaries one after another, and as the case may be, puts them into different categories.
So, as well as protecting the participant’s anonymity, the commentaries are sorted and counted, and the text data is also available for further analysis in statistics programs.
Through the provision of an anonymization barrier, even courses with a very high return rate can be exempted from this process.
PDF Report
The instructors receive a PDF file containing a detailed evaluation of their survey by e-mail, or alternatively through a LDAP authentification. This file allows a first assessment, and gives tips for a possible detailed analysis. In addition to this, the raw data from the survey is supplied, allowing editing to take place in SPSS or Excel.
