5. QM

5. Quality management and process optimization

On the basis of certain quality guidelines, the QM functions in EvaSys central evaluation allow a ranking of courses to be displayed. Using this, deacons can, for example, get a clear picture of the course quality in their area of responsibility.

  • Quality guidelines
Weighted quality guidelines can be defined for every questionnaire. These are used for the calculation of a quality index for every evaluated course. The maximum quality level is 100% (all target values achieved), and the minimum level of quality is 0% (no target values achieved).
  • QM views
The QM views are special tabular diagrams, which allow the course overview to be shown in your web browser. This facility is only available to authorized users, and requires a username and password.  The fulfilled or unfulfilled quality guidelines are shown directly by means of a clear traffic-light display.
The complete report for every course can be called up if required. So it is possible to quickly recognise the courses that were judged particularly critically, and then to look into the causes of these problems.
  • Extended QM functions
In addition to the functions shown here, the EvaSys variant “EvaSys QM” offers extensions (e.g. improvement tracking, Balanced-Scorecard-Reports etc.), which are essential for a quality management system. In the college version of EvaSys these functionalities are not implemented, out of consideration for the consensus orientated code of practice.
